Hi,
I have submitted my SFE application for the next academic year. I will be on my compulsory year abroad for my degree and have stated in my application that I am undertaking a paid work placement for the full duration of my time abroad. The only detail that I was unable to provide was the job title and address linked to my placement as I am undertaking a British Council ELA post and do not currently know where exactly in my allocated region my host school will be. I have consequently been asked to upload supporting evidence to prove that I will be on a placement during the academic year.
With all of this in mind, I have two questions:
1) It states on the SFE website that "you'll choose what evidence you can give before you upload it. You can also choose to upload it later if you cannot do it now". Does this evidence still need to be uploaded before the 20th June deadline to ensure that I receive my student finance on time, or will my application begin to be processed regardless?
2) The only acceptable evidence listed is "confirmation of placement from university or college". Is this referring to my home university and, if so, what details would this confirmation document need to include? Otherwise, would it suffice to upload evidence confirming my placement sent to me by the British Council, as ultimately they are the organisation through which I have arranged my placement?
Many thanks.
