Hiya!

I’m Maddie! I’m currently in my third year at De Montfort University, studying Health and Well-being in Society. I’ve just got one more thing to do, submit my dissertation next week 😬 and then my university journey will officially be over… terrifying and exciting all at once! 🙀

Being a student here has been such a rewarding experience. I’ve learned so much and not just academically, but personally too. I’ve had the chance to live independently, juggle part-time jobs, and look into interesting and relevant topics about health and how it shapes society.

There have definitely been challenges such as late nights writing assignments and academic pressure but at the same time I’ve loved being able to write about things I truly care about, have meaningful conversations with lecturers, exploring new ideas, and see that effort reflected in my results.

If anyone has any questions about being a university student, studying Health and Well-being in Society or student life in Leicester, I will be happy to help 🙂

After 16 (!) non-consecutive years in higher education, I'm finally on my way out of it! Graduating as Dr TLG next month :woo: It's been quite the ride at times, with very high highs and quite stupendously low lows. No regrets though :smartass:
