UCAS Application - ONTARIO student

Hello,

My son applied through UCAS to University in the UK. He is currently in the UK as part of a football academy. The academy set up the original meeting and linked his application to MIT Skills for processing.

MIT Skills is refusing to accept his Grade 12 marks for the application, will not attach the reference and will not allow the application to proceed further. We have been back and forth for the past week regarding the application and they have been obstinate in their refusal to use his Ontario Secondary School Diploma. I have been in direct contact with UCAS and they have offered to remove MIT Skills as the center processing his application. I would then, presumably, proceed with his application as an independent international application.

Has anyone had to do this previously? We already submitted his application and paid the application fee. Does this essentially refresh his application and then we submit a second time to UCAS? Some of the steps were missing from the typical application when we filled it out, since MIT Skills was supposed to be handling the reference etc.

Advice would be appreciated,

Worried Mum

What courses is your son applying for - this is almost the end of the 2025 entry UCAS cycle and the main closing date was months ago.
