Hiya!

There’s a good mix of accommodation depending on what you’re looking for.

Out of the on-campus accommodation options, I would say The Quads, Norwood House, and Westwood are probably the most social due to having larger sized flats. Norwood is probably the most likely to attract more outgoing people due to its location in the centre of campus above the SU bar and club. If you’re looking to meet a lot of people, I’d definitely recommend one of those.

Comparatively places like Marlborough and Solsbury Court tend to be a bit quieter, although the rooms themselves are very nice. They still have a great community feel but may be more appropriate if you want somewhere a bit calmer.

On-campus options do tend to be more popular with first years.

City-based accommodation (like Green Park House or Carpenter House) also has its benefits. You’re close to shops, cafés, and nightlife but there is longer commute to uni. They are still great options for providing a good social life and prepare you for the commute you will likely have to get used to from second year onwards.

That being said, your experience of any accommodation will depend on the people you are placed with more than the accommodation itself!

Hope that helps! Let me know if you want to know more about specific halls or have any other questions about studying at Bath 😊
