Unrealistic to apply to Cambridge for med?

I don't usually post questions like this but I have no clue what to do

So my GCSEs are 6666777789 (not exactly ideal) but I was in hospital for 4 months in Y10 and continued to have health issues in Y11 too which really brought my grades down. I was also admitted into hosp a few times in Y12 for about 2ish weeks each with more issues... I'm wanting to apply for Medicine and current preds are AAA (bio chem psych) and hoping to push for all A*s (bio, chem psych) but is it worth even applying? I qualify for contextual data/admissions too if that does anything

Cheers

I don't want to be mean or anything but I would advice against it only because of your A level choices. Since your applying for medicine, most colleges require chemistry and two other sciences and psychology is not considered a science. Some colleges only require one science but they are really competitive and the spots usually go to people with the 2 other sciences. But you can take my advice with a pinch of salt and still apply because Cambridge are not hyper fixated on GCSEs and you got extenuating circumstance. You can also state in your my Cambridge application. Overall, best of luck.
