Further maths gcse is it still worth it

I have my exam in a few days and I’m most likely going to get a grade 3-5
Even if i did get a pass would it still be beneficial or would it look worse as I’m getting mostly grade 7 with a few 8 and one 6

honestly id say it depends on what you plan to do in the future. I did fm (well i had to) and i found it super helpful for a level year 1. However, I will say that even if you dont decide to do fm, A level maths will be just fine - it'll just take slightly more work. Personally, I would say go with your gut, if you believe you can do it then go for it - but if its bringing more stress than needed i would say it would be better to leave it

Provided that you do well in your other GCSEs I don't see why it would be a defining factor for pass or fail. Obviously I would recommend that you try your best if you do decide it, but I'll be honest that for me personally it wasn't necessarily that much harder than normal maths. Uni's typically look at your a-level results and only typically look at your normal maths and english grades - usually whether theyre above a 5. What degree are you thinking to do?

Considering a maths or finance degree
Trying to get into banking but not sure if I will be able to with GCSEs at grade 7 as most people end up getting all 8’s and 9’s.
Is it possible to still get into good unis like ucl Manchester imperial

Yes, there is no rule that if you don't get all 8s and 9s you can't get into top unis. It's just false

Great job!! Make sure you identify key topics that didnt come up in this test or recent tests, and which have been pretty regular and make a point to revise those. Good luck!
