Edexcel A level maths 2025

I know this main seem stupid, but Its got me a bit concerned,

When answering the question paper last week I was obviously pretty nervous doing the paper, looking at unofficial mark schemes ive done pretty well

But Im fearful because I was rushing through the paper quickly at some points I may have miss labelled a part of the question when I was answering i.e labeled part b as part c for example.

Im not certain I did this but I suppose you never know,

I checked their website and it says
“In all cases, if the candidate clearly labels their working under a particular part of the question, i.e, (a) or (b) or (c)... then that working can only score marks for that part of the question.”

Its got me worked up and Id hate to drop marks on a paper ive done well at because of something like labelling a part of a questions wrong. Please help.

Trust me, after completing a paper your brain is always looking for things it can worry about - when I was taking my exams I thought for sure that I’d mixed up the name and surname boxes, forgot to label questions, got my candidate id wrong, I was very close to contacting the exams officer at my school about it. However, come results day I found that everything had been marked correctly and I realised that I had just been worrying unnecessarily.

Even on the very very very slim chance you did forget to label a question right, I doubt it would be the difference between one grade boundary and the next, and despite what they say on the website invigilators do have common sense and would prefer to award marks when answers are clearly set out.

Be kind to yourself, you just completed an exam and are one step closer to finishing your A Levels!
