Your university library will probably have all sorts of information to help you - they might even have one to one sessions you can book into to get help (or if you ask the librarians they can often help on the spot.
Some universities have specific software and tools available for students to help with referencing and citations.

Harvard referencing is just a way to show where you got your information from in your work. You mention the author’s name and the year in brackets in your writing — like this (Smith, 2020) — and then give full details at the end in a reference list.
It helps keep your work clear, honest, and properly sourced — and it’s easy once you get the hang of it!

In my first year, we have been taught to follow the guidance from https://www.citethemrightonline.com/. It has all information you might need with examples covering all the possible sources you might want to reference, such as websites, academic papers, journal articles, conferences, books, etc.

I was also taught to use CiteThemRight, which I found super helpful throughout my time at university! I've linked the page here.
I'd recommend reaching out to student support at your university for further support and guidance, as they can advise a lot better for academic skills. They may have library sessions or one-to-one appointments you can make to receive extra guidance and really nail referencing!
