****ed up my a levels

So as the title suggests, i think i ****ed a lvls up.

I do psych, bio and chem and royally messed up psych p1 (did section 1/4 but did tht section super good), p2 was okay (i want to be humble so imma say i got minimum 46 marks) meaning p3 was meant to carry me but currently i only know 2 topics super well, the 3rd topic 50% and the last topic not at all (imma just go over content based on predicted 16 markers).

Bio i thought was going to do well as day b4 in pp i got 74% (2024) and i had been pretty confident in my knowledge however after sitting tht exam, i can just hope i got a B.

I got chem on tuesday and am currently going over psych and rly do think i ****ed my chances of getting into uni.

My requirements are CDD-CCD but at this rate it looks like imma either get BCU-BCE-CCU which absolutely sucks.

Does anyone have any guesses whether kingston will take me in the CCU/BCU on results day? I rly dont want to resit psych esp since it has nothing to do with mpharm+prep year but it'll be unfortunate if i have to do so.

Like everyone else, all you can do is wait for August, but you have probably done far better than you assume, so try not to worry.

sorry you’re going through this stress..if it makes you feel any better? i’m in a similar boat. need A*AA, don’t think i can even get a single A at this point…haven’t touched chem for tomorrow..and i wouldn’t mind resitting maybe??? except i **CANNOT** go through latin a level again. i really can’t.

sincerely hope the other papers go amazing for you and that you do brilliantly on results day and don’t have to resit or anything like that. <3

Hi there,

So sorry to hear that you feel your exams have not gone as well as hoped.

You will have to wait until results day to assess your status. You have probably done better than you realise, during periods of stress we tend to be overly harsh on ourselves!

However, to put your mind more at ease I would suggest preparing for the worst and having a look at clearing courses.

I completely get your position - I did not sit my A-Levels and was given government grades (CDU in English lit, chemistry and biology) due to Covid. I went on to study medical biology at KU and having a U in A-Level Biology was absolutely crushing. Back in 2020 in results day, I was desperate for an answer so I kept calling up the KU hotline to ensure my application was getting pushed to the appropriate team. I would suggest that should your UCAS say “awaiting a decision” from KU during results day, you take the exact same approach. I would also suggest contacting the course leader, who can be found on the KU pharmacy staff page - they have the last say in who gets onto the course and who doesn’t - although this may have changed as I applied 5 years ago.

I wish you the best!

Kind regards, Jenifer (Kingston rep)

Try not to worry to much u always do better then you think, clearing is always an option and its not uncommon for unis to accept u below the grades they have asked for. Please enjoy your summer and try to keep it out of your mind as much as you can you didn't f up you tried your best and a bad paper or a stressful day is out of your hands everything ends up working out in the end

Hiya, I called the clearing line to see the chances of me getting in with what i think is the lowest grades i can get CDE when my requirements are CDD and they essentially told me that even with clearing, they will not lower requirements and usually open clearing to get better students - which makes so much sense but damn i think it shattered watever hope i held

Hi @limbobimbo

Sorry to hear this!

I wish you the best of luck on results day and hopefully you get the results you need.
The line will be open for you to call on results day to double check with the results you get.
