Staying at 6th form for 3 years due to poor AS grade
I was originally ment to stay for 2 years in sixth form and do maths biology physics and AS further maths (AS done over 2 years)
I am predicted to get a A* in biology and maths and a A in AS further by the end of year 13 however I have sat a AS level in physics as my school wanted me to (and maths but that doesn’t matter) however I believe I will only get around a D in the physics and if I get a D I will be removed from the course or required to resit the year. If this is the case I was thinking of staying till year 14 and doing the full A level for further maths and possibly picking up something like a EPQ and possibly another AS if my school requires me to. I am possibly thinking of going to Durham university for something like maths or engineering would they look down on my application due to staying for an extra year and having a poor grade on my AS physics?

If you're in year 12 currently resitting doesn't matter at all I had 5 people in my year who resat year 12 and they are all at university now.
Durham also doesn't care if you resit your a levels or redo a year.
However call them up just to make sure.

Talk to your Head of Sixth Form asap about changing subjects or planning an extra year.
