Adding Maintenance Loan - SFE Application

Hi everyone,

I’m about to start my 2nd year of uni and I need some help with my Student Finance England (SFE) application.

SFE has automatically approved my application for this year, but it only includes the tuition fee loan — I didn’t apply for a maintenance loan originally, but I now want to add one. The issue is, when I log into my SFE account, there’s no option to “change application” or make any edits.

I’ve looked everywhere on my account and there’s just no way to update it. Has anyone else dealt with this before? Is there a form I can fill out or do I need to call them?

Hi there, for to speak to someone with to help with account queries, you would need to contact us either over the phone or via live chat. To access our live chat service from your online account, select 'undergraduate' and then ‘contact us’. From here you will be able to use our live chat service when it is available.
