Preparing for Paris?

I'm going on a 2 day school trip to Paris next month, is there anything I need to know before i go? My school gave a very brief briefing about where wer're going but thats about all the info they gave us.
Btw how to I prevent / stop pickpockets, if that makes sense? Like what size bags, bum bags, crossbodies, large/small, etc. Like anything to prevent pickpocketing

I went to Paris for a week with my school and it was great, prepare for a lot of walking so you'll want comfortable shoes, you will need suncream because Paris is basically an oven in July and you don't want to get burned, and take a water bottle with you as lots of walking and sun will make you very thirsty. To prevent pickpocketers I would definitely recommend a cross body bag or a bag that has a pocket in front of you for your valuables, although I took a bag that was on my back and wasn't pickpocketed I'd still take one to be sure. I had a bag like the one in the link and it was perfect, small enough to protect but big enough to carry everything I needed.
