For describing an experiment?

no these are just for any of the questions worth 6 marks that usually require an extended answer

i mean you just need to know the content? like what else could it be

oh, if you mean like the 'comment' or 'describe' ones where you have to like talk about data or a graph this is how I would do it:

describe the data (say what's happening, quote the numbers, do any calculations)
explain with biological knowledge why it's happening
comment on reliability (long period of time, lots of test subjects etc.)
come to a conclusion

structure isn’t really important you can literally write in bullet points. and it varies depending on what kind of question it is. however:

if it says ‘evaluate’ the strengths two things, make sure you come to a clear judgement as to which one is better with reasoning

it will usually link to a biological process, make sure you outline all of these steps, but ***linking with the context of the question***. for example if it’s an evolution one, don’t just say ‘a species has an advantage’, say ‘X animal has an advantage because it allows it to do…’

make sure to use numerical stats if it says to use the figure in your answers and it’s a chart/graph etc.

don’t panic if it’s something you think you’ve never seen before, it’s probably an application question and you need to think about what process you’ve studied that it links to.

some of them are sort of like two 3 mark questions. if it helps, break it down into separate questions and ensure you’ve described each process fully

if i didn’t already make it clear, finding the underlying process is the most important thing and from there you simply describe it whilst maintaining the link to the question

good luck!
