IB results 2025 and university confirmation
Does anyone know if universities will confirm places on Friday or Monday, considering the IB results are coming out on a Sunday? I'm getting a bit anxious about results day!

It depends when the results are released to the unis via the IB portal and how many staff they have to process potentially hundreds of results, (here I am having nightmares about manually keying in each subject result for every candidate).
In brief, Monday at the earliest but could be longer - especially if you do not meet the offer in full. In which case you might get a holding message.

Oh. Gosh. I don't envy you at all…
Once I know my results I can also start calling up for clearing… especially if I haven't met my offer conditions.

It depends whether your Firm and Insurance choice have both posted a decision to Hub, if so, yes, you can start contacting unis about clearing if needs be.

Just be aware that 'early Clearing' will not include all potential vacancies as de-facto these won't all be known until A level Results Day. And that if your grades are borderline, some Unis may not make a final decision about accepting you until A level Results Day because they may want to consider all 'near-misses' together.

Most Unis will not start to work on IB results until Monday.
And just be aware that if your results are a 'near miss' against your offer, they may not be able to make a decision now, and you may be kept on hold until A level results day.
If you need to go into Clearing - ie. you are rejected from both your Firm and Insurance choices - look on UCAS and on Uni's own websites for course vacancies and grades required.
