year 12 work experience

obviously I started searching for work experience late but i'm wondering if anyone knows any placements that are still available for business or psychology for students within london. if not, that's understandable however it would be nice if anyone could give me advice on what to do. i want my personal statement to have experiences so that i could build and speak about what i've learnt from them, but experiences that might link to my career. any advice on what i can do now would be much appreciated as many work placements deadlines have passed (completely my fault for being lazy :/) or any work placements you can suggest would be appreciated also! thank you

Reach out to local companies and ask them if they can offer work experience.
Go on sites like unifrog, Springpod and the forage and do online work experience

Hey!

As others have mentioned, reaching out to companies directly is a great way to get some experience, also id suggest asking your business & psychology teachers at school (guessing these are your a-levels) if they are aware of anything, likely they may know if others in your school are also applying for similar things and if theres anything that would suit you! (: + they would also be avaible to write you a reference explaining your passion & why your looking for those type of experiences

Hope this helps, goodluck on your hunt!

Is this form of work experience taken seriously? Is it a replacement for on site work experience?

I think in-person work experience is probably better but yes virtual programs are taken seriously I think (since the pandemic)
