Childcare Grant
Hello
I’m currently receiving the childcare grant. Please can you let me know how it works in regards to the first year expiring on 31st August and childcare payments.
If I’m using the grant up until the 31st August but the childcare provider can’t request payment for that week until the next Monday (1st September)…how does this work? Will they not be able to request it as it expired the day before? Or do you get some leeway? Thanks

Hi there, as your entitlement will run up to the 31st August, the childcare provider can still claim up to this point, so they will be able to submit their invioce to the Childcare Payment Service Team as usuall, once available. Stephen.

Hi there, with regards to the deadline for claiming, I would not be to advise as this would be something that you would need to speak to the childcare payment service team about directly. You can contact us on 0300 100 0607 and we can pass you through to this time and they will be able to advise further. Our opening hours are stated on our ‘contact us’ page. Thanks, Stephen.
