Missing contextual offer

Hello! I’m new to this so I’ve got no clue if anyone will actually read this or reply to me lol
I’ve got an offer from UWE for paramedic science and I need ABB or 128 UCAS points and at least a B in biology. I’ve also got an accommodation offer too. My main concern is that I will miss the grade requirements I need - I’m really attached to this uni and now that I’ve got my accommodation offer I feel so upset because I’m like 99% sure I will miss my offer when results come in. I’m not quite sure what to do? I’m pretty confident I’ll get an A or B in biology but another of my subjects I know I’ve completely bombed☹️
Not sure whether to accept my fate and deal with the emotional damage now of probably not getting in or hope I do and feel 100x worse when I inevitably don’t.
Any advice/nice words would be nice!

Biology will be the most important subject to the university, and even if you don't technically reach your offer grades they may still offer you a place on results day. This is by no means a guarantee though.

You could go through the apprenticeship route if it doesn't work out or you could go through clearing to see if any other universities are willing to accept you. I fully understand that this isn't the same though and will still be disappointing for you.

At this moment in time though I would focus on your revision and just getting through your A-levels. You never know you may have done better than you think you have! A-levels are very difficult and draining so I understand that it can be very demoralising when you feel you haven't done as well as you want. This is by no means of the end of the world, and even if this doesn't work out there are still many options available to you so please do not lose hope!

Thank you so much!! I’m going to the open day of my insurance choice soon so if I don’t get into my firm hopefully I’ll be ok with going to my insurance :smile:

I totally get how you're feeling. Waiting for results is such a stressful time, especially when you already feel attached to the uni and have your accommodation sorted. It’s completely normal to feel anxious about it.

I'm a UWE student on Accounting and Finance course, but I’ve known people who still got in even if they didn’t meet the exact grade requirements. It really depends on how close your grades are and how full the course is, so try not to lose hope yet.

You’ve clearly worked hard and sometimes results turn out better than expected, even in subjects you’re not feeling confident about. Try to be kind to yourself while you wait.

Hi,
I took a gap year last year and UWE have offered me an unconditional offer for paramedic science and I definitely didn't do up to scratch for the grades that they wanted on UCAS. I wouldn't worry about it as best you can.
