Upcoming Open Day at City, University of London - Questions you can ask!

Hi everyone,

My name is Ishrat and I'm a student ambassador and a final year Psychology student at City, University of London. We have an upcoming Open Day on the 28th of June and we hope to see many of you there! Here are a few questions that you can ask to make the most out of that day:

Subject questions:
1) How many contact hours are there?
2) How am I going to be assessed? How are exams structured?
3) What placement opportunities are available? What are some examples of students' placements?
4) What are the year abroad options?
5) Could you give an overview of the module options?
6) What examples of jobs can I get with this degree?

University questions:
1) What food/drink options are available on campus?
2) Are there any facilities for people to practice their faith?
3) What kind of mental health support is available?
4) Is there any specific support for international students?
5) Where can I go on campus to study?
6) What is campus life like?
7) Are there any nearby accommodations near campus?
8) What are some job opportunities that the university provides?

Social questions:
1) What are the different societies I can join?
2) What is needed to join a society?
3) What are some examples of social events that have been hosted by societies?
4) What are some nearby good food places?
5) How long does it take to get to places in London from the university?

I hope this has helped to encourage you to think about your own questions that you can ask on Open Day. If there are any other questions that you think would be useful to add to this list, please feel free to reply!

Best wishes,
Ishrat (CUoL Rep)
