Would unis look down on staying at 6th form for 3 years?

I am currently doing A levels in Maths biology and physics and a AS level in further maths (AS level done over 2 years)
I am predicted a A* in biology and maths and a A is further maths however I am unsure I will even make it to the next year in physics as I don’t entirely enjoy the subject and the teachers are to be brutally honest fairly useless. If I do not make it to the next year I will not be resitting the first year and will stay till year 14. I am contemplating picking up chemistry next year and then complete the full a level of further maths in Year 14 (and maybe pick up something like a EPQ in year 14 as my school requires me to have Atleast 3 subject I think). I am wanting to apply to university (genuinely unsure at the moment what course I want to pick) I was thinking something maths related how much would they look down on my application if I had failed AS physics and stayed in sixth form for 3 years? And should I be worried about it

I’m not 100% sure as I’ve not been in this situation but what I do know from people around me who have been in similar situations (who have done a year 14) is that it doesn’t seem to have hindered their applications. As all have got uni offers, one from a Russel group. I know this doesn’t directly answer your question but I hope it’s at least slightly reassuring.

Has your school already agreed to this?

Would they look down on my application if I had failed AS physics and stayed in sixth form for 3 years
Competitive Unis, and certain completive courses at others, yes. If there is a reason for the repeat year explained in your school's reference, usually okay - but every Uni regards this situation differently and the excuse of 'I was rubbish as Physics' may not be seen as a valid reason for the repeat year.
