GCSEs

I wanted to know if anyone who has done gcses before and thought they accidentally put down the wrong candidate number during their examinations. What happened ?, was everything okay ?

hi yeah i did gcses in 2023 and managed to put my mum's phone password instead of my candidate number on one biology paper haha!! i wasn't contacted or anything and the paper was still marked and attributed to me so i assume it's something they sort on an administrative level- don't worry :smile:

honestly i was SO stressed out, i literally went to my teacher almost crying about it but she said that it happens quite a lot every year.. you have other identifying information on the paper that they can access so i guess they just use that

i found it quite difficult for a start but i basically had to really firmly tell myself that i can't let one thing that probably won't even matter mess up all my other results. my logic was i couldn't change it afterwards but i can still help myself with all my other exams

Thanks, I am a very big overthinker and the thing is , I don’t even know if I put down the wrong ones. I just constantly worry with what ifs. I’m glad to know this has no effect anyway.
