I'm sorry those things happened to you and I wish I can give some comfort but I'll be honest like you asked. In my school there have been accounts of a few cheaters over the years and, honestly, its been a toss up on what actually happens. Worse case scenario, the exam board you cheated will null any exams you have taken with them (e.g. if you do edexcel maths and biology and only cheat in biology then you'll be disqualified for maths as well). Best case scenario they'll only disqualify you from only that subject as a whole (e.g. maths has 3 papers so if you cheat in one you get 0 marks for all three). I haven't heard of somebody cheating and for all the exam boards to disqualify all of their exams so it's a rare case scenario and probably won't happen. I hope you got the answer you wanted and goodluck with wherever life takes you next <3

Hi, at my school in the past it's been just the paper you sat where you'll get 0 marks, if that makes you feel any better.. I highly doubt you'll get 0 on all your gcses and history isn't a core subject so unless you were planning on taking it for A-level (which you shouldn't be if you're cheating) then don't worry too much.

omg, you know if u denied it, they wouldn't be able to do anything because their not allowed to physically search you. but anyways, have your school said anything specifically about it and have they alerted the exam board

yeah i was thinking that but as i had my phone on my lap and when they asked me to go into the room with them it was kind of obvious i had one from the way i got up, it was better to be honest for me in the moment than extend a lie but i kinda regret not just saying no

i know a person from my school who cheated and the school didnt tell the exam board because the didnt want the school to have a bad reputation, but since now the matters out of your hands, just focus on your last few exams and do your best

i get the person who’s saying you could’ve just lied, but don’t regret telling the truth or the way you handled it.
it’s good that you just came clean bc if your phone fell out of your lap and they found out you had it when you lied, it probably would’ve been a worse situation. not worth the risk tbh

i know you’re worried because you said your other subjects are edexcel and when i was doing epq they told us if we plagiarise we could get all our edexcel exams disqualified, but in a previous year at my school there was actually a girl who plagiarised and she only got her epq disqualified. ig that’s the best case scenario but still the most likely one i hope 🫶
