Cambridge

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice about getting into Oxbridge (specifically Cambridge) Law. I am currently taking Law, Philosophy and English Language. I am predicted A*AA. I was wondering about any extracurricular/supercurrriculars anyone did to get a place in Oxbridge or any personal statement tips please.

Possibly not the strongest A level combination wrt subjects, but not hugely problematic, I imagine. Rather than completing specific extra/super curriculars, tick-box style, your time would be better used by finding an area of law which genuinely interests you and doing some reading and independent research around it. Then, most importantly, think about what you've read and heard and start to develop your own (informed) opinions and arguments about it. Why is the law around your chosen topic as it is? Should it be? Could it be better? If so, how?

They want to see that you can think independently, and work independently.

Hi, thank you for your response. I actually picked my subjects to compliment law as they’re all essay based, critical thinking ones so I think that’ll help my application.
Thank you very much for your advice, I am currently watching TED talks and reading books about racial and gender based inequities in the legal system and will use this as a basis to critique the issues and ethics in our legal system
