Is Medify or Medentry better for UCAT, and what do you think is a good score now that AR is removed?

I used medify last year and decided to try medentry this year. So far, I'd say I like medentry better because they have lessons that really helped me understand everything fully and I feel like medify is too hard for VR (because the passages in medify are too long compared to the real exam). But mostly the questions are quite similar.

I'm not sure about the scoring though, I would guess maybe around 2100 could be considered a good score

Hi. I did my UCAT last year and I used both resources. First I used medify but then I started to get into a slump bc I'd get really low scores in the mocks (we're talking 2200 out of 3600) and the VR passages were wayy too long.

Then I started using medentry and I definitely feel like that helped. I got higher scores on their mocks which boosted my confidence and they had little sections which really helped. One notable section was dedicated to the calculator. Just spending 10 minutes a day practicing using the calculator and typing really makes a difference. This knowledge helped me perform better on the medify mocks before (I never got above 2600 out of 3600 but I don't think it made that much of a difference bc what matters is how you're improving through the UCAT preparation period).

For context I got 2990 out of 3600 so I can confirm this definitely worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you too. 😊

About 2 months or so before the UCAT. I started as soon as soon as my summer holidays started.

I’ve heard that above 2200 is a really good score, and so above average would be potentially 1800-1900+ (1900 possibly being enough for Unis such as Manchester and potentially Newcastle)

However perhaps Unis would be more lenient this year as it’s the first year without AR.

The Unis that stopped using BMAT last year were a little lenient on UCAT scores as it was their first time using them
