Can I get into A-levels?

So I’ve recently done my GCSE’s and have two left both sciences. My predicteds for gcse are quite bad around, Maths - 5, Business - 5, combined science - 6/5, History - 5, English language - 4 and English literature at 5. I’ve applied for my schools sixth form choosing, economics, history and psychology which I want to change for a science. I got rejected from my schools sixth form but the head of my schools sixth form told me if I could exceed my grades I’m gcse he would reconsider me. I’ve done my gcse and feel quite confident, I think I got a 7 or 8 in business, a 7 or 6 in history, an 8/8 or above in science currently and a 5 or a 6 for both englishes, however my problem lies in maths, I don’t think I did that well in it and I think got a 5 maybe a small chance at 6 depending on the grade boundaries, I need a 6 in both maths and business to get into economics. Do you think I still have a chance to get in or to accept my loses and move on?

If you do get 7s and 8s I believe the 6th form may take you on, they may allow it if you are around the required maths grade because your other grades are quite high but may want you to work on some maths or ask you to take other subjects that don't require maths. But if I were you I'd look into some other a-levels that don't require maths just to be safe, you could always do the resit in november to try and get the grade you need. However, I believe you will get in with the grades you believe you got. I wish you the best of luck!
