The "atleast 18 credits in biology" part of the requirement suggests that you're doing an Access to Higher Education Diploma. Is that right?

Such a diploma is broken into units, where each unit is worth 3, 6, or 9 credits. If you sum the credits across all units, you should get a total of 60. Only 45 of these 60 credits are graded, with the grades being pass, merit and distinction.

So, are some of the units you're doing clearly biology units? How many credits are these units worth, in total?

Also, how many credits do you have (in any subject area) which were graded pass? How many merit credits? How many distinction credits? We can work out the UCAS points from that information.

sorry this may seem kinda irrelevant but do you mind sharing what grades you got for gcse and alevel? i just want an overview of requirements for medicine

I’d say looking at that you definitely have 18 credits in biology.

Structure and function or cells 6

Digestion 3

Musculoskeletal system 3

Endocrine 3

Reproduction/growth/development 3

Mental health potentially 3

Nervous system 3

Infection and immunity 6

Cause and control of disease 3

So you have 33 credits in biology so far, which for whatever reason if the mental health one wasn’t enough biological content you would still have plenty of credits. when you get your certificate through in August, it will contain the transcript that breaks down units and credits achieved so they will know straight away you’re eligible.

Great. So you're doing the required 18 credits of Biology, and that's true even if we only consider the graded credits. So you're fine there.

For the UCAS points, we need to total how many credits you have in the various categories. I make it 15 ACHIEVED, 6 MERIT and 36 DISTINCTION, with 3 still AWAITING MODERATION. These total 60 credits, which is exactly what we'd expect. As I said above, there should be 45 graded and 15 ungraded credits. The ungraded ones are those listed as ACHIEVED. We don't know what grade you get in the 3 AWAITING MODERATION, so let's be pessimistic and assume you only get a PASS.

We can summarise this as DISTINCTION=36 MERIT=6 PASS=3. The UCAS Tarrif Points Calculator abbreviates this to D36 M6 P3 and tells us that you have 131 points - so you've easily hit the required 102 points.

Once those AWAITING MODERATION credits come back, you may gain a few additional points too.
