dentistry clearing?

hello, any help appreciated
i’m specifically curious abt kcl and qm dentistry clearing. for example, do they even offer it? how likely is someone to get it? what would the process be? do you need to call the uni on results day and they ask you questions like a mini int? idk how it works at all and i couldn’t find straight answers when i searched online :/

also what does it mean for an offer that you already put as your firm? do you reject it on results day before you call the clearing unis?

1) Its very unlikely that any Dentistry courses will be in Clearing - Unis tend to use 'waiting lists' of those they interviewed but who just missed the cut for an offer to fill any spaces.

2) You can call a Uni on Results Day about Clearing places, but be aware that some may not speak to you because you are not technically 'in Clearing'.

If you are not holding a place on Results Day morning you would go into Clearing automatically - but if you have a confirmed place, you would need to reject that to pick up any Clearing offer, and as above, some Unis are cagey about talking to people in this position and wont make you a definite offer. Many Unis will list their Clearing vacancies on their websites the evening before Results Day so this gives you a chance to do some 'what if..' planning ahead of getting your results.
