Looking to Study Film at University?

If you’re in the same position I was a few years ago looking for a hands-on, creative course then I’d definitely recommend checking out Film and Broadcast Production at Edge Hill University.

You won’t just be sat in lecture halls from day one, you’re getting stuck into practical work. From short films to TV-style broadcasts, you’ll build a strong portfolio and develop the skills and confidence to work in fast-paced media environments.

I’ve genuinely loved what I’ve learnt so far, and the course has made me really excited about the future and where my career could go. 🎬

If anyone has any questions about the course, uni life, or applying, I’m more than happy to help just drop me a message!

Hi ,
Do you need previous experience ? How many contact hours? What’s the support like? Is it hard to access equipment during assessment time? What are the lecturers like? What’s it like living in omskirk , is it easy to make friends? Is there plenty going on? Thanks

Hi there!

The course itself is aimed at those who have completed their A-Levels or similar qualifications. The modules offered will impact how many hours you spend with a lecturer, all of which are great - they're always around to help, although the course requires time to be spent outside of the classroom too. Ormskirk itself is a lovely small town with just enough to have something to do, if you do ever want something more then Liverpool is only a train ride away. Edge Hill's brand new student union is always holding events to try and encourage students to get together and have fun whilst at university so there is always something going on and loads of opportunities to make new friends.

I hope this helps!
