Applying to the same uni but with a different course?

Is it possible, say for Universities of Bradford, Leeds or Huddersfield, to apply to a Midwifery degree using a personal statement centered around midwifery but then also, just because midwifery can be quite competitive, to use the 4th and 5th options for those universities again but applying to Adult Nursing? Would the applications be treated independently or could it impact your chances of getting into either course because Nursing and Midwifery are quite closely linked yet quite distinct which the Uni might interpret as you're not 100% certain/ passionate about what you want to do?
