Change of circumstances form Student Finance England

Hi, I'm currently a first year nursing student but will be dropping the course and transferring to the primary and early years education with QTS course from September 2025. I will still be studying in the same university. I'm unsure about what steps I should take as I've used the chat service a few times but have been met with different responses. For example, some agents have told me to complete a change of circumstances form whereas others have said to just create a new application.
Please help SFE.

Hi there, if you've already made an application for 25/26 then it would be a 'change of circumstance form' as previously advised if you're unable to amend this via your account. You can then digitally upload the form to your account. Thanks, Jason

Hi, thank you for replying. I haven't applied for 2025/2026. My previous application is for 2024/2025. But I'm transferring to another course from September. So should I create a new application or just reapply for the next year's student finance through my previous application and then send in a change of circumstances form?
