Well, "5s in basically everything" isn't very precise. What grade did you get in GCSE Maths? What grade did you get in GCSE English Language?

Birmingham's general Undergraduate entry requirements page says, "We require literacy and numeracy skills which can normally be demonstrated if you have the following: GCSE English and GCSE mathematics (including IGCSEs), both grade 4 or above."

They go on to say, "Some programmes may require a particular grade in one or both of these subjects. This will be noted on the course web pages in our course finder."

However, if you check the "Entry requirements" section of their Law LLB page, you will note that there are no additional GCSE requirements for this course.

So, if you meet the general GCSE entry requirements ("GCSE English and GCSE mathematics (including IGCSEs), both grade 4 or above", then you should apply.

Birmingham accepts almost everyone just apply lol.
@ans_67, just to caveat the above post a little...

The phrase "almost everyone" might suggest that Birmingham make offers to almost 100% of applicants. They do not. In recent years they have made offers to 72% of Law LLB applicants (source).

Pretty strange that its only 72%. I thought their law course was in clearing last year?

I don't know whether or not Law was in Clearing at Birmingham last year (although I know it wasn't in 2023).

Anyway, there's not necessarily a relationship between the offer rate and those which enter Clearing. A course being in Clearing could just mean that fewer candidates met their offer grades that the university expected, so they'd made too few offers compared to the number of places they had available. For example, UCL’s LLB Law course was briefly available in Clearing in 2023, but required A*AA, even in Clearing (source). However, their offer rate between 2022 and 2024 (for Law LLB) was just 9% (source).

I would apply; you never know! They take a while to respond some times, they took more months than my other Universities to respond but they sent a lovely email afterwards. If you want to go there, there’s no harm in sending an application.
