It's my daughter's insurance choice but having been to Arbour and Cross Court, the second is better as has more social space. It's only 10 min walk and in the city so pretty safe and well lit walk. Romano doesn't have ensuite in shared flats so that might be a factor to consider.

We saw one bedroom and it looked ok - not lux but good!

Angel is nearest tube but honestly, you can walk in central London really easily and you're super close to Shoreditch etc

We really liked City on the open days (Bayes Business School is where my daughter is interested for insurance). Their stand out schools are business and journalism. It is a mid tier uni but it's strength (IMHO) is links to industry and proximity to the city so they seem to have lots of industry talks / networking.

You'll hear some people talk rankings and it doesn't do brilliantly overall but is in top 40. Look at your course / degree to see how that fairs.

My daughter actually chose it as insurance over UCL offer (which is top tier) but that was more about the modules / degree suitability.

What degree are you hoping to do there ?

The easiest thing to do is to look at Google maps street view and then zoom out to see the area. Or use Google maps to search for restaurants, bars and supermarkets. As it's central London, supermarkets will be small ones - loads of bars & restaurants. Shoreditch is a 15 mins walk. Islington is 15 mins walk. Soho is 40 mins walk but you can easily tube it in 10-15 mins.

Hi there!
My name is Nally, a second-year student majoring in Media, Communications and Sociology with Quantitative Methods at City St George’s, University of London.
I used to live at Romano Court during my first year and my experience was incredibly good. The accommodation is about a 10-minute walk to school, and there are a lot of groceries (Tesco, Sainsbury, Waitrose) and restaurants nearby. The accommodation is very close to bus stops and Farringdon station (4-minute walk), which is very convenient for going to central London.
Since my room is non-ensuite, I had to share the bathroom with another girl and share a kitchen with 3 other people. All of them are nice and responsible for common areas. I also made a lot of friends from the same hall. The staff are also really nice, they hosted a lot of events such as Halloween, Christmas, and New Year events for us. Equipped with 24-hour CCTV in operation and staffed reception during business hours, the accommodation is very safe.
That’s my experience with the Romano Court. I hope it helps 😊
Nally
