RVC Supplementary Form

Hi! I am applying for the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine at RVC and I was wondering if anyone has any tips for the supplementary form? I want to get an idea of what they are looking for and what sort of questions they will ask. They only give 5 days to fill it out so I want to be prepared for when it comes. Any advice at all would be appreciated! Thank you

Heyy!!! Okay so when I did my supplementary form last year, I had mocks around the 5 day time they give which was ofc super stressful! My best advice would be first to not panic and to have some basic ideas prepared HOWEVER whilst I can’t say much about the questions, just note that they aren’t acc very broad (they can be quite specific about something) so in that way they’re less like what you would write in the personal statement.

1 - read the question thoroughly and see what you interpret from it and maybe even ask friends what they think the question is asking (I had two interpretations that I thought were suitable hence I asked others but this may not necessarily be the case for you)

2 - brainstorm/note down ideas before you start writing

3 - write in a word document first (I found this to be better to be able to write a few drafts on a seperate document and also kept it saved and all)

4 - Still sort of treat it like a personal statement - what they really care about is the reflection rather than the actual thing you talk about - if you show what you have learnt from your experience or whatever you have mentioned, it shows a reflective thoughtful skill

5 - Be you!!! They care about what you thought and how you felt so just be yourself and don’t panic

This is all I can think of from the top of my head 😭 If I remember anything else I’ll let you know )

This is great advice! Thank you very much for your help. I will definitely implement it when I get the form.

I was just wondering how many questions are there? And if I am not wrong, there is a place to put your work experiences and letters?
