Hiya!

Obviously which Uni is 'best' is a tad subjective. Regardless, there are subject league tables that provide an insight as to which Unis are best for your chosen subject.

See here.

Edit: Grammar

Hope this helps!

Hi there,

You can definitely get an idea for the more reputable universities from league tables and rankings, but 'best' will likely be quite subjective. I've heard about these schools and know people who went there, and they seem to be good. I'd recommend searching through the different modules, additional opportunities, and career prospects specifically at each university to help you with your decision. Creating a pro-con list may be super helpful here!

I've linked some rankings here and here, so hopefully these help to give you a better idea of the well-rated schools!

I hope this helps,

Hi Horses.harrie

As others have said "best" can be subjective and clearly I am biased because work at Harper Adams. But I wanted to let you know that I am here if you have any questions.

Students tell us they choose Harper for reasons including:

the on-site farm (actually, rather than the uni having a farm, it's really that the uni is in the middle of a farm),

our excellent graduate prospects

our knowledgeable, friendly and supportive staff

our sense of community

placement year

and, perhaps most importantly, because they can build their career network from day one and receive interdisciplinary education because we also run courses in animal health/veterinary professions, land and property management, environmental management, business, agricultural engineering, food science and more. All of these subjects link, as do the jobs they lead to, meaning that your fellow students are more than likely to be your future business contacts.

We also have the School of Sustainable Food and Farming - working with founding partners the NFU, Morrisons and McDonalds, and with members including Tesco, M&S, Meadow Foods and more. The SSFF aims to educate, inspire and empower current and future farmers to achieve net zero within a sustainable farming and food system.
