How lenient is Exeter for biological science?

I have an offer to study Biological Sciences at Exeter and get a contextual of BBC, i require a B in biology however! I am confident i am getting A* A* in my other two subjects but after taking my exams for biology i am now worried i have a chance of potentially getting a C in Biology as my teacher was often absent for months at a time and we weren't able to learn a lot of the content, which is upsetting since in year 12 i got consistent A*s.

My sixth form also denied me extra time despite having a diagnosed disability and having reports from my doctor stating i need extra time! as my school stated ADHD is not considered a “real disability”

Does anyone know whether they have been accepted on results day with one grade down for biology? And does anyone know whether Biological sciences is a highly subscribed course at exeter?

Is there a good chance i would still be accepted through even clearing??

Hi

I'm sorry to hear you are not so confident in your exam results hopefully you will get a welcome surprise and morale boost come results day.

Unfortunately where we have specifically made a subject condition in your offer this would not be flexible. The knowledge you already have from the subject will be used right from the start of your degree study with us. As you will see on the course page even for contextual offers this specific subject requirement remains and these would still be required under extenuating circumstances too. If we are not able to confirm your offer on results day then there may be options for alternative courses in clearing. You may like to bookmark our clearing pages and thread in TSR so that you can start preparing in advance in case you may need to go down that route.
