Attend Freshers' Events- Go to as many Freshers events that your university offers- here you will meet loads of new students who also don't know anyone. Doing activities like bowling or quizzes could be a great way to break the ice and get to know people.
•
Talk to the people on your course- Maybe after the first induction session, suggest going for some food or a couple of drinks. You're going to be in classes with these people for the next three years, so if you can get to know them as friends, it would be really beneficial.
•
Speak to your flatmates- If you are in student accommodation, knock on your flatmates' doors or sit in the living room and speak to them when they come in. Ask if they want to do a flat movie night or a pub quiz in town. Try your best to get on with your flatmates as you'll be living with them for a year.
•
Join Clubs and Societies- Here you will be able to find people who have similar interests to yourself. As you will be attending a Liverpool university, you can attend University of Liverpool societies as well as societies at LJMU, so there are lots of opportunities here to make new friends in the same boat as yourself.
