Does anyone know what degree classfication appeals are like?

I'm a final-year biomedical sciences student with an average of 65.86% based on my predicted grades (my confirmed ratified grades by the exam board come out in 2 weeks). Due to experiencing a lot of health complications, and having received a late diagnosis (by the end of exams), I couldn't submit a mitigation. I worked really hard for a first this year - I received 53.45% in my second year and recently got 70%, leading to a 65.86% average. At my uni, if I get a 68% average, it gets rounded to a first.

Should I still apply for late mitigation (bc I was undiagnosed at the time) so the exam/award boards consider upturning my grades or should I appeal after I graduate?

If so, does an academic appeal tend to work out??

Your university will have an appeals process. That will not only set out the process.and timeliness but also the criteria you can use to make your appeal. They are often quite narrow but have a look through it and see if you can appeak within that criteria.

Also, speak to the disability services team at your university or your student union for support and guidance.

This is very specific to the university so no one can offer you generic advice that would be of much use.

Good luck.

Are you suggesting applying for mitigation for exams you sat one academic year ago - i.e. your second year?
