Bath uni accommodation

Hi,

I am just about to apply for accommodation but I have quite a bad germ phobia so I can't use any public toilets or anything like that, so I'm really worried if I don't get any of my top choices (which are all ensuite) that I might be placed in a standard room with shared bathroom facilities. I don't think I could cope with the germs for an entire year but on the application you can tick boxes for disabilities and mental health things. However there is no option for this and I haven't been diagnosed so I can't really prove it so would they take it into account and should I email or something to let them know?

Hi Anon,

Thanks for reaching out, and this is a perfectly normal and valid concern to have and is actually very common among people these days. I would recommend you email [email protected] and explain your situation, remembering to add your student/UCAS number. There are no guarantees of course but they may be able to make a special case for you given your circumstances.

I hope this helps and best of luck!
