art gcse sketchbook/coursework

I've neglected my sketchbook a LOT and im starting to get to the point where its all building up, do art examiners care about decorated sketchbooks? could i simply do a few experiments, art, pictures and writing to get full marks? i assume decorated sketchbooks will make it easier to grade it high but i really just dont have the energy or brain power to do that for all of my pages.

im sure u js need to meet all the objectives, so as long as uve met them and ur artwork is consistently 'exceptional', u can get full marks. but u shld prolly try to add some meaningful decorations to the page, like decorating the title in a away that reflects the art/theme e.g if ur page is an artist research page abt banksy, u cld do a grafiti title.

the actual formatting matters very little. at my school everyone has e-sketchbooks on google slides, and we still get plenty of 9s, even with very basic black and white formatting. focus on the actual art. idk about full marks though, that’s very difficult regardless.

As long as you do 2-3 high quality artist studies and responses, extra drawings and practices, you should be fine and get decently high ish marks. Backgrounds set the theme of your sketchbook page and highlight your drawings in a way (?) and can get you high marks if your drawings and stuff are good.
But realistically examiners don't really care about backgrounds, they care about the quality of your work, the difficulty and skill, and if they can clearly see your development and how your project has evolved.
Hope that helped!
