looking for a temporary job in birmingham for the summer holidays
I'm looking for a part-time job over the summer because I’ve just finished Year 11 and I want to start making my own money. I’ve got about 10 weeks off, and I don’t want to spend all that time just sitting around doing nothing. I think having a little job would be a good way to keep busy, learn something new, and save up some cash. If I end up liking it, I’d definitely be up for staying on and working Saturdays during sixth form. Do you guys have any suggestions??? Pleasee I'm very desperateeee 😭😭

Great job on finishing your exams. Love the enthusiasm to find your own work and earn some cash, leading up to 6th form and then University / future career goals.
Have you checked on Indeed for jobs? If not, worth having a browse for part-time jobs on there.
CV Library and LinkedIn are other good shouts.
Another suggestion is to look on sites like Coursera or Udemy. Both offer free courses in just about anything, should you want to boost some skills in a hobby, interest or fav subject.
Shall we start with some basics? What would you say are your strengths? Things you are passionate about.

Thanks, feels great to have exams done. I’ve already checked out jobs on Indeed, LinkedIn, and CV Library. I’ll have a look at Coursera and Udemy too – could be a good way to stay productive.
And as for my strengths I would say I’m actually better at maths and problem-solving, and I like anything logical or number-based. Would love a part-time job where I can use those skills – maybe something with money handling or data. Got any ideas?
I’d also say I’m pretty good at talking to people, I’m friendly, easy to get along with, and I enjoy helping others. I think I’d do well in a role where communication and customer service matter.
