Books?

I'm starting an access course in September (psychology) and was wondering if anyone had any textbook ideas?

Textbooks should cover: psychology, sociology and criminology

Thanks 👍

hi hun what books did you end up needing?
Hi there!

I did an Access to HE in Social Sciences, just thought I'd jump in to suggest the books I favoured:

These were the most recent editions when I studied in 2023 but I can't say if there are any more recent updates. I found these the easiest to get on with but I recommend going to your institution's library to check out any others they may have and see what suits you - or try a local library if not. Definitely try to loan books out from the library rather than buying anything as they can get pretty pricey!

Ask your tutor for any recommendations too as they will know what works best with the course they are teaching 😊

Happy studying - I hope it's going well so far 😄
