Photography summer work experience

Hi. I’m looking for any sort of photography work experience I want to just practice and better my photography skills during the summer whilst I have not much to do. Can anyone direct me with any events ?

Hey there.
Fantastic that you want to step into the world of photography. A very vibrant area to express your talents and skills.
I would check out Canon's site for events: https://www.canon.co.uk/events/
They sometimes run workshops and webinar's on the best tips for capturing shots of interest.
Equally, Coursera and UDemy have free courses on photography.

Assuming you have some camera gear, such as a tripod, think of a focal point, object, building you want to photograph. Do you want to snap night trails of cars zooming on a motorway?
Do you want to photograph the moon with a mega lens on a tripod, or spot the ISS?
Do you prefer buildings of interest, such as museums, film locations?
Do you prefer reflections, mirror effects, or thrilling fireworks with long exposure?

For me, I'm into event photography. I've been going to raves, and I enjoy capturing moments of the crowd, lasers, confetti bursts and showcasing my work to friends, promoters and others who might consider going next year.
Small, yes, and unpaid for the most part, but any opportunity I get, I take.

My advice: If you want to start with events, or any of these ideas, just speak to people. For the events, I made an effort to speak to the photographers and ask about camera settings (ISO / Exposures / Frame rates etc).
Then I applied those settings to my camera, and tried to replicate it.

Happy to help answer any photography questions you may have 🙂 Good luck!
