Hey there,

First of all, I'm just going to say unfortunately Liverpool Hope University doesn't offer International Relations and Economics and specifically, but we do offer something else combined with International Relations within our Liverpool Hope Business School (that isn't Economics and Politics), that being International Relations and Business Management.

We have a really good Business School that puts on their annual Insight to Business Awards, which rewards students with shadowing opportunities, placements and internships with local and national businesses, who we have really good partnerships and relations with. Economics, which we also offer as single honours as well as combined, is part of this school alongside Business Management.

Having studied Politics & International Relations, I can't recommend either half of the course more, I've learned about everything from foreign policies of nations across the world, British and US domestic and foreign policy, EU internal and external policy, issues within International Relations such as Human Rights, Nuclear Proliferation and how do we define the 'nation' and 'state'. The lecturers are what make it what it is - and they are always there to help and get to know you.

If you would be interested in any of what you're hearing, I can answer anymore questions you might have about the courses, Liverpool Hope University, or student life - just let me know - I'm happy to help!

All the best wishes for the future,

Harry

Hi there, I'm a final-year International Relations and Arabic student at SOAS. The university offers lots of different dual degree combinations including International Relations and Economics.

One of my favourite things about SOAS is that it specialises in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, teaching from a global lens, that I think is really important for developing a more nuanced and grounded understanding of international relations. Plus, being in central London means there's always something fun to do or see!

I hope this helps, feel free to let me know if you have any other university or IR-related questions!
