Decling ucas extra after accepting

Hi guys. My friend is in a bit of a pickle. They’ve gone through ucas extra & accepted an offer but are now second guessing their choice & still want the option of going through clearing.

Would he be able to decline his place if he gets in and go through clearing instead even if its ucas extra?

Yes, your friend can still use Clearing, even if they accepted an offer through UCAS Extra. Clearing is available if:

•

you’re applying after 30 June

•

you didn’t receive any offers (or none you wanted to accept)

•

you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers

•

you’ve declined your firm place using the ‘decline my place’ button in your application

So if your friend decides their current course isn’t the right fit, they can release themselves into Clearing and apply for an alternative course.
