Predicted grades for medicine

Hi!
I recently had mocks and for my predicted grades I’m on track to either get A*AA or A*A*A…with an A in chemistry…am I at a disadvantage? Do universities care about my predicted grades beyond meeting the minimum entry requirements and would having an A in chemistry put me at a disadvantage? My A* would definitely be in biology. What unis do look more at predicted grades? I’m just really stressed about my predicted grades and worried they put me at a disadvantage
Thank you

some universities score your predicted a levels e.g. exeter and dundee but tbh most don't. The fact your A is in chemistry is no different from another subject apart from at edinburgh I believe, and A*AA is enough to meet the requirements for almost all med schools so you'll be fine. 🙂

Hi Piginthepuddle

I've just started a TSR thread for our Medicine course 2026 cohort do keep an eye on that for discussion and updates about our medicine course.

We have loads of information about our shortlisting process for the A100 BMBS course on our course page in the Entry requirements section be sure to click the green 'Read more+' button so that you can view the policy document and FAQ's. In the policy document you will find tables to see how an Exeter score would be assigned to you based on predicted or achieved grades.

Hope that gives you a starting point. Our Open day 4th October will be just in time for applying for Medicine too so hopefully we may see you there.
