Need advice to give to a friend who’s worried. About medicine applications

My friends main worry is his gsces…. He’s obtained grades 8 8 8 8 7 7 7 6 6 5 with all the 8s being in the stem subjects Maths Chemistry biology and physics. He’s got 3 A* predicted and I tried explaining that with correct application strategy his gsces shouldn’t hold him back. Any recommendations on universities I can send him or how to comfort him? Thanks.

Tell your mate that usually the only critical GCSEs are Maths and English and that A level predictions and UKCAT will matter far more.
