Do I need my GCSE certificate?

I changed schools so I didn’t receive mine and wasn’t aware I needed to.

Hiya,

Yes, you are advised to have them. You could be asked to present them in job interviews or other opportunities, and it's a much cheaper option to collect them from your school instead of potentially purchasing replacements. Since you have changed schools, you could email the office so you can arrange to collect them or to receive them in some way.

Here is an article from SaveMyExams explaining my above point in a little more detail ^^.

Hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I did my GCSEs 2 years ago so do you think my old school would still have my certificate?
Usually you just need to ask your old school for them. As above, yes you might need to present them in the future and it will cost you money to have replacements issued.

They may do. The article I linked above states schools are required to keep them for up to a year. Beyond that, they may not have them.

Personally I'd email to see if they have them, and then go from there!
