Unsolved DSA Application Advice

I applied for DSA back in October (2024), and the last proper point of contact was early December. There was trouble with verifying my course, so I provided the evidence needed in and sent it over. It's now June - I haven't heard anything since despite attempting contact.

I've emailed a handful of times asking for an update, no response. My online portal says my form is "incomplete" and will be reviewed in "due course". Problem is that my first academic year is almost up and I've had no progress or updates other than the "missing information". Then 2 days ago I received an automated email notifying me that the academic year is ending and I need to reapply.

I can't fill out another form for the next year because my original one is unresolved. I haven't been able to buy equipment for the entire first year of my course which has impacted performance because I could not work from home. Now I'm worrying the same thing will happen this next school year.

I've sent them yet another email addressing that automated message, triple checked the address is right. Reattached evidence and explained, but I'm concerned I'll have no response again.

Any advice would be appreciated, I appreciate many people are applying, but no response in 6 months does seem excessive. That's 188 days since the last response from them, and a whopping 235 days since I applied.

Hi there,

We don't deal with DSA queries on this platform. You can contact them on 0300 100 0607 and selecting the "DSA" option or you can also email them at [email protected]

Thanks, Jason

Hi Jason, thanks for trying to help, but please take the time to read my post. I have tried contacting several times, I've had no response for 6 months straight. That's why I'm asking for advice, I'm being ignored, and have no idea what to do.

Hi Jason, thanks for the advice, but as mentioned above I have tried that many times. I've had no response for 6 months. That's why I'm asking for advice because I'm not getting any response.

Thanks for your response,

We can't access accounts on this platform and aren't DSA trained so we wouldn't be able to advise on that. If you are able to contact them via the telephone number (or have someone contact us on your behalf) if you've had no response through email then an agent should be able to further assist. Thanks, Jason
