Exeter University near miss

So i have received my final grade and i received a 2.2 and was off the 2.1 by 1%. Does anyone know what the possibility is if i appeal and request a remark would be for my exams? i literally need 1% to meet my masters offer and i am devastated because of how this has turned out.
I had my fair share of mental and financial issues this year which i had requested mitigation for, do you think could be considered?
Please advise anyone because it seems like everyone has closed their door on me or shrugged their shoulder. I emailed my mental health advisor and she replied with " i really cant do much" and i feel so hopeless.

Has anyone submitted a successful claim to the University of Exeter for an appeal of a degree grade?

With regards to your "fair share of mental and financial issues" you say you "requested mitigation". Does that mean that they denied your request?

Also, have you actually been awarded a 2:2, or have you concluded that yourself by following the rules in the degree classification section of their academic regulations?

If you proceeded with an appeal, what would be the grounds for that appeal?

Hi Anonymous #1

I'm not sure if you are and undergrad student at Exeter using your result for a masters elsewhere or if you are applying for a masters at Exeter.

Either way you have a few options.

At Exeter do liaise with your Infopoint to check the process for mitigating circumstances and support in that area. They may also be able to give advice on how the degree classification award would be derived. If you have not already received had your final award.

If you hold an offer for a masters at Exeter (or any other uni) - I suggest submitting the evidence to Admissions, they will assess your full transcript ,modules and overall marks and make a decision from there. There can be many factors that they might take into account to consider accepting a 'near miss.'

I hope that gives you a couple of steps you can take.

All the best
