Re applying for finance after withdrawing from first year

Hi, my son has previously been to university but withdrew after the first 3 months of his first year due to mental health reasons. 3 years have passed and he has now been accepted at Sheffield Hallam to do a 3 year full time sports and exercise science degree. However, when applying for finance it won’t let him select year one and says this year is not available. Does anyone know why this is and should he still be entitled to 3 years funding? He informed finance as soon as he withdrew in the December after starting in September/October.

That’s a good point. I’m not sure. Should he be clicking on ‘start a new application’? I can get him to try it that way

He thinks he did ‘start a new application’ as he said it doesn’t give him the option to reapply
