Enquiry about Internships and Career Support at Southampton

My name is Junne and I am interested in studying Mechanical Engineering BEng at University of Southampton. I want to know whether there are internships for students while studying. What about you? Did you have any experience like this?
I want to know do the teachers organise it for you and what kind of companies do they cooperate with. Because I don’t know anyone there and it would be very hard if there is no support.
What else do you think University of Southampton is doing good to help students with their career?

It's amazing to hear that you want to join our community at Southapton. Our careers team put on a range of different events and services to help support students and graduate start their career jouneys. There are a number of careers fairs held throught the year with some being dedicated towards science and engineering firms, while others are all-sector fairs. You can also find a range of opportunities on the university's career website, including UoS internships, which are internships that are offered exclusivelty to University of Southampton students. The careers team run several campaigns of workshops, guidence sessions and career coaching to students to help them in applying for internships and graduate positions such as cover letter workshops or interview masterclasses.
